Class Calendar

Tufts Medical Center offers the following American Heart Association (AHA) courses for Tufts Medical Center Employees ONLY:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) 
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) 

Please Note Program Changes Based on 2025 AHA Guidelines.

-No online portion; 3hrs in class; BLS Exam

-New Certification & Recertification

-2hrs online; 6hrs in class; ACLS Exam 

  PALS Training

-New Certification & Recertification

-1hr online; 6hrs in class; PALS Exam 

 BLS with ACLS or PALS: Most ACLS and PALS courses offer BLS for one (1) additional hour. Please look for this information in the note section when registering. A current, non-expired BLS card or completion of the BLS online portion is required to take BLS with ACLS or PALS.
 NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E: Private Classes

Eligibility: Classes are offered to Tufts Medical Center Employees who are required to have ACLS/BLS/PALS to perform their job. 

Tufts Medical Center Employees who are not required but preferred to have these certifications to perform their job @ Tufts Medical Center, may register with Manager and COE approval. Please note, those not required but preferred will be placed on a waiting list pending confirmation up until the day of the class. 

Tufts Medicine Employees (LGH, MWH, Care at Home) We are not able to offer classes at this time to employees outside of Tufts Medical Center. Please contact the Tufts Medical Center @[email protected] for questions.

Cost: Cost is covered for Tufts Medical Center Employees for courses offered on-site at Tufts Medical Center.

Attendance: A 24 hour notice is requested if unable to attend a class. NO SHOWs will be placed on a waiting list when rescheduling on-site. NO SHOWs will not be reimbursed for the same certification taken off-site. To cancel, reschedule, or be added to a waiting list, please email us with a date and time.

External Course:  Please contact cpr@tuftsmedicine.org for pre-approval for courses offered off-site to ensure the certification will be accespted. Local vendors included:  ACLS Academy, CPR World, Red Cross, and others. 

100% online certifications are NOT accepted. Courses must offer a hands-on skills training on an instrumented directive feedback device or manikin.

For awareness, the following vendors offering 100% online certifications (which are NOT ACCEPTED include but are not limitied to: ACLS Certification Institute, ACLS Medical Training, Advanced Certification Institute, American Academy of CPR and First Aid, American Health Care Academy, American Health Training, CME University, CPR Cart*, CPR Select, eMedCert, Enjoy CPR Safey Institute, International CPR Institute, National CPR Foundation, National Health Care Provider Solutions (NHCPS), Postgraduate Institute for Medicine, ProCPR, ProMed, Telehealth Training and Education, LLC

Tufts Medical Center Registered Nurses ONLY:   Outside ACLS and PALS course reimbursement require prior approval from the COE using a request form  which must be submitted prior to the course date.

Reimbursement requests for external ACLS and PALS courses are for Tufts Medical Center Registered Nurses only. 

Please do not offer payment for an outside course you are seeking reimbursement for until you've received a pre-approval confirmation email from the Center of Excellence:  [email protected].
